Ian Silberman was raised in Orange Park, Florida. At Fleming Island High School his senior season on the football team was the most successful. The squad had a 10-2 winning record and made it all the way to the FHSAA Regional finals.

Ian Silberman was a four-star recruit by Rivals.com. The same group ranked him as an 8th top offensive tackle. During his junior year, he was recognized as a FSWA 4A All-State Second Team offensive lineman, All-Area First Team and First Team All-County player.

He graduated early from high school and enrolled into Florida in January 2010 to begin his training and studies.
